What it can help
Stress and Anxiety
Stress
or anxiety is a common complaint, which in reasonable levels can be
managed naturally as anxiety is a feeling that everyone experiences,
it is a completely normal stressful response, which we experience
when faced with new challenges in our lives.
It is when those reasonable levels become more extreme and it becomes
too much for us to cope with then it begins to affect our quality
of life leading to physical symptoms and illness, such as; IBS, migraines,
dizziness, frequent urination, high blood pressure, teeth grinding
(bruxism). These physical symptoms can be compounded by exhaustion,
which leads to irritability and anger, irrational and/or obsessive
behaviour, increased anxiety, panic attacks and generally feeling
‘out of control’.
Depression
Depression is perhaps the most common psychological disorder today.
Symptoms of depression can be treated specifically, such as sleeping
problems, eating disorders, and substance abuse such as smoking, drinking,
or recreational drugs all of which exacerbate the condition.
Clinical Hypnotherapy and its utilisation of Solution Focused techniques
is an effective way to effect positive change enabling the client
to focus on solving problems and to engage fully in life again.
Hypnotherapy is not a substitute for conventional medical treatment
and is frequently used as a complementary treatment to more conventional
treatments for Stress, Anxiety and Depression, such as prescribed
drugs.
