Telephone therapy
With the various time constraints and pressures that we have in our busy lives, sometimes clients find it difficult to find the time to travel to clinics in order to seek help and support. Or, perhaps due to work, travel or other commitments are unable to see their chosen therapist on their allotted clinic days.
I have been supporting clients (and other qualified therapists as part of my supervision work) very successfully utilising telephone therapy between face-to-face sessions for some years. The sessions operate in the same way as the one to one face-to-face sessions, using Solution Focused and/or Cognitive Behavioural therapy techniques.
Hypnosis and relaxation techniques play an import part in the Solution Focused/Cognitive Behavioural work that I undertake and therefore some phone sessions may include the teaching of Self Hypnosis and/or relaxation techniques. These are techniques, which are selected for their success for teaching over the phone. Therefore, it is important that for all sessions you ensure that you are in a quiet, environment where you will be uninterrupted by any distractions such as telephone calls, children, animals, radios, televisions, machinery (washing machines, dishwashers, etc) during the session.
We will agree a date and time for the session, which can be during the day, evenings and/or Saturdays. The only requirement is access to a landline telephone number on which I can call you for the 45 minute duration of the session.
The first step is to contact me by e-mail or telephone in order that we can discuss your therapy requirements. There is no obligation to commence telephone therapy at this stage. If, after our initial consultation, you feel that telephone therapy may help you we will then make an appointment for your therapy sessions to start.
Payment for each 45 minute session is £35.00 and payment will be made in advance of each session. Payment can be made via internet banking (BACS) or PayPal (see below). Cheques can be accepted by arrangement.
